One of Asia’s fastest-growing digital telcos runs a subscription-based SaaS platform serving customers across Singapore, Taiwan, and Australia. With 8+ business units, three operating currencies, and thousands of recurring invoices each month, their finance team needed a single source of truth and not a patchwork of spreadsheets and manual workarounds.

The Challenge

As the company scaled rapidly across markets, three problems were slowing down the finance function:
  • Subscription billing complexity : Thousands of recurring invoices with GST implications that varied by product type. IRAS treats B2C digital services differently from standard supplies — and getting it wrong means compliance exposure.
  • Multi-currency blind spots : Three operating currencies (SGD, TWD, AUD) across 8+ business units, with no consolidated real-time view. Period-end close took days of manual reconciliation.
  • Bank integration fragility : Payment files to DBS, OCBC, and UOB were being built by hand. A single formatting error meant rejected files and delayed vendor payments.

  • Full Oracle Financials : AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, General Ledger — across all entities and business units.
  • Singapore GST Tax Manager : IRAS GST regime configured with registration numbers mapped to each legal entity. Standard-rated (9%), zero-rated, and exempt supplies under one regime.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) : Automated data pipelines for bank integration, statement import, and cross-system flows.
  • Host-to-Host Bank Interface : Automated payment file generation (ISO 20022 / GIRO), bank statement import (MT940/CAMT.053), integrated with DBS, OCBC, and UOB Singapore.
  • Application Managed Support : Continuous managed support since 2021, covering enhancements, break-fix, and Oracle patching.
